WELCOME TO MAYHEM!

AURORA LACROSSE CLUB

A lacrosse club for all levels serving Aurora, Colorado. Locally and Veteran-owned and operated.

Welcome to Mayhem Nation!

We're proud to be the youth lacrosse development team for Aurora Public High Schools, while also serving families and student-athletes across Aurora and the surrounding areas including Centennial and Greenvalley Ranch!

We currently do not participate within the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL) as we continue to develop our new program and spread the word about one of the fastest growing sports in the world!  With the addition of Lacrosse to the World Olympics in 2028, the interest in America's oldest sport continues to grow and with it, the demand continues to rise!

Our Mission

Our goal is simple: to provide quality youth sports opportunities for a historically underrepresented part of our community.

We’re creating a safe, fun, and educational environment where young athletes can learn, grow, and thrive through sport.

What Does Mean When We Say We Do Not Participate Within the AYL?

The AYL is the primary youth sports league for the state for multiple sports, including Lacrosse.  They are an established, formal league with regular seasons that mirror High School Seasons.  However, there are also strict requirements to field teams within this league.  As we continue to grow and develop our program, and with it, garner more interest and players, we plan to participate in this league in the future, when we have enough players to outfit full teams.  In the meantime, we will run year round lacrosse opportunities that look something like this:
  • Spring (March-May): "Mock-Season":  We will have regular practice with any players that register, but likely have combined age groups to be able to have enough players (not authorized in the AYL).  In addition, we will schedule voluntary games with other state clubs that will be formally officiated but not count towards a regular season record like AYL.  These will be developmental in nature to give players the chance to experience live games, but without the pressure of pursing playoff seeding.  This is the best way to learn the ins and outs of the game before we join a formal league! (Targeting APS students but open to all!)
  • Summer(June-Aug):  Summer camps and Sixes - We will have several summer skills camps to register for as well as field teams for the local PLL sponsored Sixes league.  Sixes is also known as Olympic Lacrosse and what they will be playing in 2028 in Los Angeles.  It is slightly different than standard spring lacrosse.  Less players, slightly different rules and MUCH faster.  A Great way to hone stick skills and team dynamics. (Open to all)
  • Fall (Sept-Nov):  Sixes and Box Lacrosse - We will start the fall with the second session of sixes and roll right into Box Lacrosse.  Yet another version of the sport (think Colorado Mammoth).  Box lacrosse is compact, indoors, more physical and faster than field lacrosse.  A great way to work on the physicality of the game for the regular season! (Open to all)
  • Winter (Dec-Feb):  Box Lacrosse - Winter is dedicated to Box Lacrosse and helps us get ready for the spring season! (Open to all)

Looking Ahead

We’re beyond excited to expand the Mayhem brand in lacrosse and strengthen our impact across the Aurora community.

Stay tuned for more updates as we grow, serve, and continue to build opportunities for our young athletes!
